Lucky Stiff

"Something funny's going on..."

"Imagine the scale and irreverence of 'Little Shop of Horrors' blended with the zaniness of the Marx Brothers, and throw in a few madcap production numbers about everything from dogs to death.  I'm not going to reveal whether the shoe salesman finds happiness, but the audience definitely does. " (Baltimore Sun, May 9, 1989)

Based on the novel The Man Who Broke The Bank at Monte Carlo by Michael Butterworth Lucky Stiff is an award-winning musical farce from the team behind the hits Ragtime and Once on this Island, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

‘Lucky Stiff’ premiered in the UK at the Bridewell Theatre in September 1997.  We first produced ‘Lucky Stiff’ as one of the final year actor productions at Mountview Academy in the spring of 2004.  The show was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who came to see it.   Due to the enthusiasm and commitment of cast and creative team, we decided to join forces, create Lucky Stuff Productions and put the show on at the New Wimbledon Studio for a longer run in September 2005.
